Character and Citizenship Education
At Rivervale Primary School, CCE is delivered through an integrated curriculum that develops students holistically in their values, knowledge, and actions. CCE lessons, including Form Teacher Guidance Period (FTGP), Mother Tongue Languages (MTL), and Programme for Active Learning (PAL), provide dedicated time for teachers to engage Riverlites through facilitation, building meaningful relationships and nurturing student voice. Social Studies nurtures informed, concerned, and participative students, while Education and Career Guidance (ECG) supports students in building self-awareness and exploring future pathways.
Beyond the classroom, CCE comes to life through a range of enriching experiences. Riverlites participate in Values-in-Action (VIA) projects that develop a spirit of service and care for the community. Cohort Learning Journeys, National Education Commemorative Events, and the International Students and Permanent Residents (ISPR) Programme deepen students' sense of identity, belonging, and responsibility as citizens of Singapore.
